Glenarbon Birthday Girls Remember
REMEMBRANCE DAY 11-11-2025... Greater love hath no man than this: to lay down his life for others. John 15 v13. Thank you Merrilyn for hosting Birthday Girls on Tuesday 11th November. Your effort [and Brownie’s] was greatly appreciated and your entrance was an excellent reminder to the somber significance of the day.
The morning tea and chin-wag was, as always, enjoyable and animated. The topics discussed and debated are always interesting.
Thank you to the RSL for accompanying our solemn observance of the day at 11:00am, with the Last Post and Reveille which we were able to share across the way.
Following this, Annie D had a great Remembrance Day quiz. Again a tester.
As if we needed more to eat, we then moved inside for lunch. Over-indulgence? - of course. Val said grace so we could tuck in.
No birthdays this month – so no cake - but dessert? YES!
