Grant Addresses Community Need for an AED in Texas

As a not-for-profit organisation, Texas Home Life Care Inc. was fortunate to receive one of ACCIONA Energia’s 2025 small grants and during an assessment of community needs, it became evident that Texas lacked a defibrillator that was accessible to the public, 24/7.

With the support of the grant, Texas Home Life Care Inc. acquired an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) specifically for community use, which has been installed outside the Texas Police Station thanks to the assistance of local police, Mark and Rhys.

To ensure that everyone knows where the AED is located, signage has been placed along the main street. This helps raise awareness and makes it easy for the community to find and access the defibrillator in case of an emergency.

Having a defibrillator that is easily accessible to the community is crucial. Immediate access to an AED can be lifesaving in an emergency situation, highlighting the importance of this initiative for the wellbeing of all residents.
