Local Store’s Generosity Continues
Another year and another generous round of donations by the team at the Texas Community Opportunity Store to local clubs and organisations. Each year the Texas Community Opportunity Store also supports the Royal Flying Doctor Service and LifeFlight. Over $20,000 in donations were distributed by the store this year.
Accepting the kind donations from the Texas Community Opportunity Store last Friday morning were: (L-R): David & Irene Thompson (Texas Jockey Club), Mary Schwartz (Sacred Heart Catholic Church), Joan White (Texas Home Life Care inc.), Lurlene Keane (President of the Texas Community Opportunity Store handing out the cheques), Sonia Duke (Texas Home Life Care inc.), Sandra Pianta (Texas QCWA), Senior Constable Paul Jarrett (Texas Police Legacy Charity Golf Day), Merrilyn Williams (Texas Tennis Club inc.), Mary Belford (Texas Men’s Shed), Jenny Paganin (TADDS - Texas & District Drought Support Inc.), Robyn Griffin (Texas Historical Society Inc.) and Eddie Voss (Texas & Inglewood Heritage Railway Society Inc.). Not pictured were representatives from the Texas P-10 State School P & C and Texas Amateur Swimming Club.
